SPENCERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS - Friday, September 17, 2021

 

Tickets for tonight’s home varsity football game against Leipsic are being sold in the office today until 3p; Adult tickets $5; Student tickets $4.  All tickets at the gate will be $7.

 

Students and parents are reminded when you are absent your parent must call in or a note from the doctor or parent must be brought to the office for your absence to be excused.  

 

Student athletes - Remember if you come in after 8:15am, you must have a doctor’s note in order to practice or play.  Also, if you leave school to go to the doctor, you must bring a doctor’s note to the office when you return.

 

This year's Homecoming Parade will take place on Sunday, September 26th, at 4:00pm.  The parade will leave from the bus garage, follow 117 to the light and turn left.  The parade will end at the corner by the American Legion.  We are still looking for entries - if you have a group interested in participating please stop in the office or contact Kim.  Parade line-up will be at 3:30pm.

 

The Junior Class Post-Prom Committee would like to invite everyone to attend the Powderpuff Game at Memorial Field on Sunday, September 25th, at 5pm (following the annual homecoming parade).  The crowning of this year's Powderpuff King will take place at 5pm.  This year's game will feature the Freshman/Senior girls vs. Sophomores/Junior girls.  Join us for the crowning of the new Powderpuff King and his court at 5pm.  There will be concessions, music and lots of activities including the Kona Ice Truck!  Admission is $3 adults / $2 students / $10 max per family.

 

The Homecoming Football Game will be Friday, October 1st vs. Ada.  The crowning of this year’s King and Queen will begin at 6:30 pm.  

 

This year's Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 2nd, from 8p-10p in the Cafetorium.  Tickets are $5 per person and may be purchased in advance starting on Monday, September 27th, at lunch.  Homecoming is for high school students only and if your date does not attend Spencerville High School please stop in the office to pick up a guest form to be completed and returned to the office by Friday, October 1st.

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

On Saturday, September 18, the Bearcat Marching Band will participate in the annual Bath Band Spectacular. This event begins at 4:00pm and will feature 15 area high school bands as well as the Ohio Northern University Marching Band. For a discounted price of $5 per ticket, see Mr. Van Gorder. 

 

Last year’s 2021 Yearbooks have been distributed to those who pre-ordered. There are a limited number of extra copies available for purchase. Order forms can be found on the bulletin board outside the high school Art room. Please see Mrs. Gratz with questions.

 

Any junior interested in serving on prom committee, please sign up on Ms. Brenneman's door, room 502.  We will hold our first meeting before the end of September.

 

Do you demonstrate a sincere commitment, motivation, and interest to serve your school and community?  Do you have the ability to set and attain goals as demonstrated by your personal achievement?  Are you a leader?  The Allen Lima Leadership committee is looking for sophomores and juniors to join a unique group of individuals from other high schools who will respond to issues important to them with group-determined service projects.  See Mr. Baumgartner or TEAMS for more details.

 

Gentlemen - When you turn 18 years old, you must register with the Selective Service.  If you have questions regarding this process, please see Ms. Brenneman or Mr. Baumgartner.

 

Students who are leaving school during the school day for any reason must check out in the office.  If for some reason your appointment is cancelled.

 

Students are reminded you are not to let anyone in the building.  If you see someone at an outside door, you are to report it to a teacher or staff member.
